This 7 night Retreat at the beautiful La Hacienda retreat is an opportunity for you to reconnect with yourself.
This peaceful venue, set in the peaceful Spanish mountains, just a little over an hour from Malaga, provides a deliciously nurturing backdrop for this small group gathering to join together, press the reset button and recharge your batteries.

Morning Balancing Elements Flow Yoga (a blend of slow flow vinyasa & Qi Gong).
Followed by our ‘Big Brunch’ - vegetarian, healthy and wholesome buffet style
Free time to swim in the beautiful infinity pool, read, receive a massage(additional cost), go for a hike or take a trip to the beautiful nearby town of Montefrio.
Late afternoon / early evening Yin Yoga practice followed by a deep rest Nidra
Followed by a buffet style vegetarian dinner

The yoga practices are suitable for all experience levels, including complete beginners and the focus is very much on simplicity and finding the right alignment for your body. The variety in styles provides a beautiful balance. We’ll balance the moving and flowing practices in the morning that get our energy flowing, with the slow, stillness and restful qualities of Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra at the end of the day to help to wind down and relax.
We’ll be using props such as bolsters, bricks and yoga belts and you’ll be supported in your practice to find what really works for you and your body.
The breath work and meditation practices at the start and end of the day are designed to be tools that you can easily take away and incorporate into your day to help provide clarity and focus.
About The Hacienda…
The accommodation is offered in the Main House and a separate building, The School House, a quirky, traditional building adjacent to the Hacienda.
All rooms are unique, complete with original traditional Spanish furnishings.

There rooms in the main house are twins, each with en-suite facilities and private balconies. A small number of these rooms may be available as single occupancy at a supplement.

All prices are excluding flights and transfers. Flights are available to Malaga airport from a number of Airlines.
A minibus transfer from Malaga Airport to the retreat for a pre-arranged time is included.

We most definitely won’t go hungry.
The pantry will be available for cereals, toast, fruit, coffee and tea for light breakfast before our morning practice.
Following our morning yoga practice, we’ll gather round the table in the shade of the percoda for a buffet style brunch, where there’ll be a wide selection of nourishing, wholesome and freshly prepared hot and cold dishes. Eat as much as you like.
There’ll be snacks and a freshly made cake available for afternoon tea and following our early evening practice, we’ll gather again for a buffet style dinner. Soft drinks, water, tea or coffee will be available with dinner.
All food is freshly made using local and seasonal ingredients and is vegetarian, with vegan options available.

The emphasis on this retreat in peace, quiet and kindness. If you’re hoping for late night jolly japes, energetic activities and arm balances, this probably isn’t the retreat for you.
But if you need space to rest, unwind and be kind to yourself, I do hope you’ll join us.
Your Host
I am an experienced Senior Yoga teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. Specialising in Yin Yoga, and Seasonally inspired Hatha and Qi Gong, my teaching style supports students to find the best alignment in a pose for their own body. My classes are themed around the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine and Louise believes that to achieve balanced and harmony within our bodies and minds, our practice needs to adapt to align with the seasons of the year.
I like to adopt a harmonised approach to my teaching by including other tools such as meditation, breath work, journaling to enhance wellbeing and balance. I have spent many hours studying acupressure and the nutritional aspects of TCM and weaves these into my teachings to assist students not only to navigate through the energetic shifts of the seasons but also to manage the physical and emotional changes that occur as the body ages.
In addition to my Yoga training, I also hold further qualifications in Yoga for Menopause, Yoga Therapy for Cancer Care and Yoga for Sleep and Insomnia.

Yes! All experiences are welcome and with a group size of no more than 14, you’ll be completely supported and seen in your practice. You’ll be very much encouraged to listen to your body and develop a practice that works for you.

You most certainly can. You can either choose a sole occupancy room or a room share. This is a female only retreat, so you’ll be in a room with another woman if you choose this option. Much of the retreat focus is on inclusivity and connection whilst respecting each other’s need for space. In other words, you can share or participate as much as your feel comfortable.

The focus of the retreat is balance, so there’ll be opportunities to engage in many other activities if you wish.
There’ll be daily journaling prompts that offer the chance for self reflection, optional sharing circles, meditation and breathwork. There’ll be opportunities for activities such as Hiking, visits to nearby Montefrio, or perhaps an afternoon visit to the Alhambra in Granada -
Our morning classes will be alignment focused Slow Flow Hatha Vinyasa Yoga with sprinklings of QiGong. Our late afternoon practices will be long held Yin Yoga, sometimes combined with self acupressure &/or Yoga NIdra.
All classes will be thoughtfully sequenced to offer a balanced blend of stillness & movement.

This is a non refundable booking, either full or partial and for this reason, we strongly encourage you to take out travel insurance to cover any costs should you have to cancel.

The cost of your retreat includes return transport by Minivan from Malaga airport.
Pick up will be on the day of the retreat at around 2:30pm.
On the last day, we'll leave the retreat at 9am to arrive at Malaga airport around 11am.
Flights are not included - there are many flights from most UK airports into Malaga.
When booking your flights, please consider the pick up and drop off times above. Due to the remote location of the retreat, taxi transfer is very expensive and will be at your own cost.
